Rebecca has recently been involved in setting up a Heat Humanities Hub, along with Prof. Chris Pearson (Liverpool), Dr Kara Schlichting (Queens College, CUNY) and Chris Courtney (Durham University). Hosted by the “Melting Metropolis” project at Liverpool University, the network aims to create a space for scholars to reflect upon the challenges of heat, in the past and present. Bringing an international group of scholars working in history, geography, social studies, media theory and architecture, the Hub will share research on heat emerging from different disciplines, and different parts of the world.
