Rounds for Renaissance Lute Ensemble, Volume 1, ed. Sara Salloum and Katherine Butler (Lute Society, 2026) – See The Lute Society Catalogue – ‘Trios and Quartets’
10 rounds from Elizabethan and Jacobean sources, easy or very easy, with staff notation for singers or instrumentalists and the same intabulated for lutes in every key from treble A to bass D, to involve everyone at a playing event with a pleasing variety of timbre. The lute parts are single lines and very manageable; voices and instruments can join in ad lib.
Books
The main publication for this research project will be a book on catch-singing and community in Britain 1550-1650. Further details will be added as the book progresses
