with\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/firekills.campaign.gov.uk\/\">Fire Kills<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hoardinguk.org\/\">HoardingUK<\/a>.<\/p><p>The checklist has been designed to support professionals working with people affected by hoarding behaviours, helping them identify and reduce fire risks while maintaining a person-centred and trauma-informed approach.<\/p><p>The resource covers key areas including fire safety, emergency exits, emergency planning, access to essential amenities, hazard reduction, safeguarding considerations, and multi-agency working. It is accompanied by additional guidance to support professionals in balancing immediate fire safety concerns with the long-term wellbeing of the individual.<\/p><p>Hoarding disorder is a recognised mental health condition, and this resource promotes a collaborative approach involving agencies such as Fire and Rescue Services, Social Care, Housing, Environmental Health, and Health partners and others. The aim is to improve safety outcomes while respecting the dignity, choice, and circumstances of those affected.<\/p><p>The checklist is available for all professionals to use as part of their
