{"id":1683,"date":"2025-06-05T10:27:58","date_gmt":"2025-06-05T09:27:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/hosting2.northumbria.ac.uk\/carbonbodies\/?p=1683"},"modified":"2026-01-19T14:21:49","modified_gmt":"2026-01-19T14:21:49","slug":"a-busy-spring","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/hosting2.northumbria.ac.uk\/carbonbodies\/?p=1683","title":{"rendered":"Joining the Energy Lives! project in Gothenburg"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In May, Rebecca was invited to Chalmers University of Technology in Gothenburg, Sweden to join the wonderful <em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.uis.no\/en\/research\/the-greenhouse-centre-for-environmental-humanities\/energy-lives\">Energy Lives<\/a><\/em> project to talk about energy, emotion and sensation. Rebecca presented some work on the intersection between energy and emotion, focusing predominantly on how fear was central in determining people\u2019s relationship with their heating systems. Rebecca looks forward to continuing the discussion about energy and sensation with the <em>Energy Lives<\/em> folk, and hopefully something further will come of it soon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">While in Sweden Rebecca also sat on the ESEH UK and Ireland regional panel on \u201cNew Directions in Urban Climates of the Atlantic Archipelago\u201d where she presented alongside Chris Pearson (Liverpool) and Erika Hanna (Bristol).
